Chinese police scoop up guy for supporting Southern Weekly

That whole media situation in Guangzhou really has the central government in China worried.

The Washington Post reported yesterday that Chinese police grabbed a guy and stuffed him in a van while he was being interviewed by German television.

And the guy’s crime? Expressing support for Southern Weekly.

China’s plainclothes police stuff man into unmarked van for speaking to reporters

The interview subject in the video, gave his name as Jiang Di, and apparently the state security officers found his opinions so threatening that they were willing to pack him up right in front of a camera crew taking video bound for TV and Internet screens.
