Some sane commentary on the Wikileaks cables

The cable from Honduras that laid out the U.S. embassy’s analysis of the June 2009 coup has been used to claim that the U.S. engineered the coup AND that it blundered its way around until it had to support an ally of Hugo Chavez.

To be honest I thought it was a pretty straight forward cable. (In the past I wrote a lot of cables while under contract with various U.S. embassies. This one was well written and concise. Kind of an oddity for many in the State Department.)

After reading blog after blog from the left and a handful from the right it was a joy to read Bloggings by boz and Joshua Keating’s take on the cable and the reaction to it.
