A new Gallup survey shows that support for Hugo Chavez is waning in Venezuela.
The survey talks about general approval/disapproval numbers and whether the people think of themselves as more or less capitalist or socialist.
What it doesn’t seem to cover is people’s attitude toward civil liberties and civil rights.
Chavez is coming under more attacks outside the country because of his relentless march to bring all media outlets under his control. And the worst part of this most recent survey will most likely be an increase in those take overs.
After all, by his way of thinking, the only reason people are not blindly supporting him must be because they have not gotten the full message yet.
