The more I read, the more Malaysia looks like China

Malaysia has always been a rough place for regular jouranlists.

I remember  my first visit to Kuala Lumpur several years ago. I picked up the local paper and was amazed and how “great” the national leaders were and how “rotten” anyone who disagreed with them were.

The power of the government kept a lot of independent papers and magazine under control by either denying them a license to operate or just jailing the editors and publishers.

And now that heavy hand is hitting the online publisher.
